On The 4th of May, the first class classrooms were extremely lucky to be visited by a local author Shelley Corcoran. Shelly read her book 'The most Irish person' to us. The book and illustrations are absolutely wonderful all about children from different countries living in Ireland. After the story, we drew the characters from the story and identified flags from all around the world. It was great fun and we learned a lot. Shelley asked us if we would like to do a project on Spain that will be on display at an arts festival in Longford over the summer. We are going to get to work on this soon.
