Last Tuesday, the 4th class children from Ms. Kavanagh's, Ms. Mollaghan's and Mr. Ward's travelled to Longford Town as part of their Heritage Day Trip day out. Mr. Brennan gave us a tour of the Mall, showing us the many different species of Irish native tress. We then made our way to Sean Connolly Barracks where we discussed it's very proud history. Finally we visited the beautiful St. Mel's Cathedral, admiring it's fabulous interior and learned about it's history and reconstruction. The children enjoyed every minute of it.
