Senior Infants Explore Melting Chocolate!
14th Oct 2025
Ms. Fox and Ms. Duignan's Senior Infants had great fun last week during their Science lesson all about melting. The children carried out an exciting experiment to see what happens when chocolate is heated. They made predictions, watched carefully as the solid chocolate began to melt and discussed how heat changes its form.
After observing the melting process, the class put their learning into action by using the melted chocolate to make delicious rice crispy buns! Everyone enjoyed mixing, spooning and of course—tasting their creations.
It was a wonderful, hands-on way to explore science in action and learn about how materials can change. Well done to all our young scientists!
