Sports Day and 6th Class vs Staff 2026
19th Jun 2026
On June 10th and 12th we managed to dodge the rain and have our Junior and Senior Sports Days. On Wednesday 10th our Junior Infants to 2nd Class enjoyed egg and spoon, sack, sponge squeeze and three legged races along with obstacle courses, parachute games and other activities at the school.
On Friday 12th our sporting sixth class students took on the staff in three events: Obstacle Course, Basketball, Gaelic and Soccer. Well done to 6th class for some very tough sporting games. Great fun for all! 3rd to 6th Class then left for Leo Casey Park to enjoy the rest of the Senior Sports Day, activities included Sponge squeeze race, dodgeball, mini hyrox, obstacle course, tug of war, races and football.
A huge thank you must to given to Ballymahon Forgney Gaels and Ballymahon Forgney Ladies Clubs for sending us excellent coaches Morgan, Tyler, Lisa, Eva, Vera, Amelia, Oliwia, Sean and Paulina from their clubs to help out, we could not have ran the Sports Days without them.
A big thanks to David Reilly our Longford GAA Coach for taking a football station at the Senior Sports Day too. Thank you to Ballymahon GAA for the use of their excellent grounds. Looking forward to our 2027 event already!
