On the 23rd of May, St. Matthew’s celebrated it's second annual Blue Star European Day in the beautiful surroundings of the fantastic marquee at our school. Along with our VIP Guest Minister Peter Burke, we celebrated the extraordinary work that both of our 4th classes participated in throughout the year in all the many aspects of the European Union. It was fantastic to see all of the fabulous presentations that the children took part in and we were all so proud of them! We also acknowledged the fantastic work that both of our 5th and 6th classes achieved in their collaboration with Language Exchange Students from the VEC. All of children from 3rd and 4th class, received their certificates for their participation in the Say Yes to Languages Programme too. All in all it was a fantastic day for the children of St. Matthew’s in their dedication throughout the year on exploring the fabulous aspects of the European Union. Our VIP Guest, Minister Burke certainly enjoyed his time with us!
